Media and Information Literacy Mega Program

The Media and Information Literacy Program (MIL) is held in conjunction with the celebration of Global Media and Information Literacy Week by UNESCO from October 24–31 every year and is implemented to encourage the awareness and understanding of the Malaysian community about the importance of media and information literacy skills in a rapid information explosion. This program also aims to educate the community about the importance of MIL skills to obtaining accurate and authentic information while trying to curb the spread of fake news.

The objective of this program is to expose the community to the importance of MIL skills, which include strategies for finding, locating, evaluating, using, managing, and disseminating information accurately, effectively, and ethically using various media, including technological media.

  2. Self-Learning Media and Information Literacy Portal (eLMM) Quizzes
  3. Demonstration of Self-Learning Media and Information Literacy Portal (eLMM)

Media and Information Literacy Forum

The theme of this forum is "Keyboard warrior in pandemic period: who is right?" Experts in the field of information literacy, such as Dr. Nor Edzan Che Nasir and Associate Professor Dr. Shamila Mohamed Shuidan, have been invited to discuss this theme.

Self-Learning Media and Information Literacy Portal (eLMM) Quiz

This quiz was conducted online. Participants have to answer the quiz questions through the Google Form link. Cash prizes and certificates are given to the winners.

Demonstration of Self-Learning Media and Information Literacy Portal (eLMM)

Demonstration of using the eLMM portal to learn media and information literacy skills. The eLMM portal can be accessed at http://elmm.pnm.gov.my
