Linked Open Data (LOD) describes a method of publishing and sharing data in a way that can be effectively used by several computer systems or applications. It builds on standard Web technologies. For developing Apps, you may use LOD of bibliographic data, holding data or authority data in combination with other kinds of data.
The National Diet Library (NDL) provides the bibliographic data (NDL Search), the authority data (Web NDL Authorities) and the earthquake related data (NDL Great East Japan Earthquake Archive) as LOD. On September 1 (Mon.), the NDL released the webpage "NDL's Linked Open Data" (Japanese). This page gives you information such as:
