2015-1-21 On January 21, the English version of the Historical Recordings Collection (Rekion) is released.

On January 21, the NDL launched the English version of a special web site of the Historical Recordings Collection (Rekion). The user interface (e.g., advanced search interface, help page) of the database and a part of the Introductory Guides to Japanese Historical Recordings are available in English.

* Search keywords must be entered in Japanese characters unless the metadata are described in English. e.g., the sound recordings composed or sung by the composer/artists that have English names such as Johnny Watson, Burton Crane, and Clarke Johnston.

The total number of contents is about 50,000 items. Approximately 1,100 of them are provided on the Internet; others are available only within the facilities of the NDL and the Rekion partner libraries.
