2016-11-10 Approximately 650 sound recordings of the Historical Recordings Collection (Rekion) are newly available online.

On November 10, the National Diet Library made approximately 650 sound recordings of the Historical Recordings Collection (Rekion) available for streaming online. They include works composed by Kosaku Yamada, Kiyoshi Nobutoki and Gento Uehara. Their copyrights have expired this year.

The total number of the Historical Recordings Collection (Rekion) is about 50,000 items. Approximately 2,000 of them are provided on the Internet; others are available only within the facilities of the NDL and the about 250 Rekion partner libraries in Japan and overseas.
