2017-10-31 A ceremony to present the Library of the Year 2017 award in the Librarianship category will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. Scheduled to receive the award are the Collaborative Reference Database Project and its partners.

On September 27, the Collaborative Reference Database (CRD) Project and its partners were named Library of the Year 2017 in the Librarianship category for long-term activities by accumulating, visualizing and sharing the reference services of more than 750 libraries with the general public.

The award ceremony is part of the Library Fair 2017, described below.

Time and Date: from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., on Wednesday, November 8, 2017
Place: PACIFICO Yokohama, 1-1-1, Minato Mirai, Nishi-ku, Yokohama 220-0012

A number of people will be on hand to accept the award, including employees of the Saitama Prefectural Kuki Library as a representative of partner libraries will attend the ceremony.

The NDL would like to express its deepest gratitude to its partner libraries that have dedicated their efforts to the Collaborative Reference Database Project and pledges to continue efforts to pioneer future directions together with libraries throughout Japan.
