H.E. Mr. Dileita MOHAMED DILEITA, President of the National Assembly, and H.E. Mr. Ibrahim BILEH DOUALEH, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Djibouti to Japan, visited the NDL.

H.E. First Lady of the Republic of Lithuania Mrs. Diana Nausėdienė visited the International Library of Children's Literature and donated Lithuanian books.

An online meeting of the Conference of Directors of National Libraries (CDNL) was held. The subject of this conference was Lessons from Library Leaders—new and experienced. Dr. Lee Kwan-Hu, chief of the National Assembly Research Service in Republic of Korea, visited the NDL.

H.E. Mr. Boonsong Noisophon, second vice president of the Senate and the chairman of the Senate Commission on Academic Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, visited the NDL.

Dr. Jacqueline Kucera, head of the Parliamentary Library, Research and Data, Parliamentary Services of Switzerland, and Prof. Martin Kucera of the Bern University of Applied Sciences visited the NDL.

April 8-10, 2025
The International Internet Preservation Consortium (IIPC) General Assembly and Web Archiving Conference was held in Oslo, Norway. Ms. ITO Hibiki (Digital Library Division, Kansai-kan) attended the conference.

The Bologna Children's Book Fair was held in Bologna, Italy. Ms. NAKAJIMA Mina (Planning and Cooperation Division, International Library of Children's Literature) attended the conference.
March 27-28, 2025
The Global Conference on AI, Security and Ethics 2025 was held both on site and online in Geneva, Switzerland. Ms. KYUKO Satomi (Foreign Affairs and National Defense Division, Research and Legislative Reference Bureau) attended the conference in person.
March 11-13, 2025
Meetings of the Council on East Asian Libraries (CEAL) and the North American Coordinating Council on Japanese Library Resources (NCC) were held in Columbus, USA. Ms. ISHIZAWA Aya (Assistant Director, Photoduplication Service Division, Reader Services and Collections Department) and Mr. HIRASAWA Daisuke (Public Services Division, Kansai-kan) attended the conferences. They made a presentation entitled "National Diet Library Services Providing Access to Digitized Library Materials" (Presentation file: [PDF: 1.85MB]).
