2020-10-28 Restrictions on admission to the Tokyo Main Library will be eased starting Wednesday, November 4

Starting Wednesday, November 4, patrons with a Registered User card will be allowed to enter the Tokyo Main Library without a reservation on weekdays from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

  • Admission will be restricted as necessary if the library is crowded.
  • Rare Books and Old Materials Room and Modern Japanese Political History Materials Room close at 5:00 p.m. Call-slips are accepted until 4:00 p.m.
  • Starting Monday, November 2, 2020, we will once again be accepting applications for user registration at the Tokyo Main Library.
