2022-7-6 Change of Entry Restrictions of the Tokyo Main Library starting Thursday, July 21
Admission to the Tokyo Main Library has been restricted by a lottery reservation system, but from July 21 (Thu.), the lottery reservation system will be suspended Mondays through Fridays, with admission restricted when the number of simultaneous visitors reaches 1,000.
On Saturday, the lottery reservation system will continue, but registered users may enter without a reservation
between 9:30 and noon. However, once the number of simultaneous visitors reaches 1,000, only those with reservations
will be allowed to enter.
There is no time limit for patrons who enter the library at those times.
- ※In August, the library is expected to be crowded, especially on Saturdays, during the Obon period, and before and after the materials clearance closure day (August 17). Please take advantage of the services available without coming to the library.
