Kawanabe Kyosai

- Description
- A Japanese-style painter from the end of the Tokugawa Shogunate to the first half of the Meiji Era. A disciple of Utagawa Kuniyoshi. Later he joined the Kano School and worked as a painter. He created works in a style that mixed the style of the Kano School and ukiyo-e (pictures of the floating world).
