- Description
- A disciple of Utagawa Kuniyoshi and later strongly influenced by Kikuchi Yosai. In addition to leaving behind rekishi-ga (historical paintings) and bijin-ga (pictures of beautiful women) works, he also worked on illustrations for newspapers.
