- Description
- A disciple of Utagawa Sadafusa. In addition to landscapes such as Omi Hakkei, he also did series of shibai-e (theater prints) and Genji-e (prints focusing on the Tale of Genji). From the Meiji Era onwards, in addition to Kaika-e (modernization pictures) nishiki-e (brocade pictures) related to the Seinan War, he also worked on illustrations for novels and newspapers.
