Utagawa Kuniyoshi

- Description
- A disciple of Utagawa Toyokuni I. He became popular his musha-e (prints of samurai or military subjects) depicting the hero of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. He also worked on a wide variety of other genres including landscapes, bijin-ga (pictures of beautiful women), yakusha-e (actor prints), kacho-ga (paintings of flowers and birds) and caricatures.
