The wife of Aisin-Gioro Pujie, the younger brother of Puyi, the last monarch of the Qing dynasty of China. In 1937, She was married in line with the national policy of rapprochement between Japan and Manchuria. After World War II, Puyi and Pujie were captured by the Soviet Union. She wandered through China, so she was called “Ruten-no-Ohi”, (the Wandering Princess). She returned to Japan in 1947. She lived in Beijing with her husband Pujie, who was released in 1960.
