Description

Businessman. He owned a movie theater in Hong Kong and returned to Japan after buying films from the French company Pathé in Singapore. Nikkatsu Corporation (Nikkatsu) was established in 1912 by merging three other companies showing films in Japan with his company, M. Pathé. He made a documentary film about the Antarctic explorer SHIRASE Nobu, and supported Sun Yat-sen, who started the Xinhai Revolution, both financially and emotionally.
