As of June 24, 2024, Dr. Heesop Kim was appointed as the Chief Executive of the National Library of Korea. He served as the Senior Technology Officer at the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) from May 1989 to February 2003. From April 2003 until his appointment as Chief Executive, he worked as a professor in the Department of Library and Information Science at Kyungpook National University. With his extensive experience in academia and research, Dr. Kim is set to guide the future of the National Library of Korea.
