2025-12-9 Tokyo Main Library expected to be crowded around the year-end and New Year

From Friday, December 19, 2025 until Tuesday, January 13, 2026, the Tokyo Main Library is expected to be very crowded.
Please give yourself plenty of time for your visit.
User registration (official registration) is required to request library materials from the closed stacks.

Please be aware that new user registration by visiting the National Diet Library is taking much longer than usual because of the large numbers of visitors.

The Tokyo Main Library will be closed on the following days during this period.
-Sunday, December 21
-Friday, December 26, to Monday, January 5
-Sunday, January 11
-Monday, January 12
