Sundays, National holidays, the year-end and New Year's holidays and the third Wednesday ofthe month (for refiling).

Additionally, the Library could be closed without prior notice in case of natural disastersor other public emergencies. Announcements are posted on the National Diet Library website.

Cafeteria, Coffee shops & Shop

Cafeteria (Main Bldg. 6th Floor)	11:00-18:30 (15:00 on Wednesday and Saturday) Orders will be taken until 30 minutes before closing time. Please consume food and beverages brought in from outside in the designated area.
Shop (Main Bldg. 6th Floor)	9:30-18:30 (17:00 on Saturday)
Coffee shop (Main Bldg. 3rdFloor)	11:00-17:30 (16:30 on Saturday) *Orders will be taken until 30 minutes before closing time.
Coffee shop (Annex 1st Floor)	11:00-15:30 Lunches are on sale from 11:00 to 14:00. Onlybeverages are available from 14:00 to closing. Orders will be taken until 15 minutes before closing time. *Closed on 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturday.
