About Electronic Resources Service

The National Diet Library (NDL) provides reading and printout services for electronic resources such as CD-ROMs/DVD-ROMs and electronic journals in the Tokyo Main Library. Access to the Internet is also provided.(Printout service is not available for Internet contents.)

Please note that the electronic resources are available only within the Tokyo Main Library; requests for printouts by mail are not accepted.

How to use

Type of user terminal

Type Number Intended use
User terminal About 370 terminals Searching, requesting materials, reading digital contents, creating photoduplication application forms, checking application status, and Internet usage are available. Some terminals of this type are dedicated to CD-ROMs.
Terminal with digital microfilm reader About 50 terminals Dedicated to microform materials
Print-out orders are also possible
Terminal for checking request status About 20 terminals Dedicated to checking request status easily
Terminal for printing photoduplication request forms About 30 terminals Dedicated to creating photoduplication request forms

9:30-19:00 (17:00 on Saturdays)
* 9:30-17:00 (Rare Books and Old Materials Room)
Printout request
10:00-18:00 (16:00 on Saturdays)
* 10:00-16:50 (Rare Books and Old Materials Room on weekdays)
