The International Library of Children's Literature holds an annual event related to children's books in celebration of Children's Reading Day (April 23).
This year, in collaboration with the Graduate School of Film and New Media of the Tokyo University of the Arts, we have invited Prof. Koji Yamamura, a professor at the university, animation artist, and picture book author, to talk about the influence of the 19th century French Illustrator Grandville on picture books and the relationship between Grandville's works and those of Prof. Yamamura.
