The National Diet Library Classification (NDLC) is a system of classification developed and maintained by the National Diet Library for the efficient management of library collections.

The Nippon Decimal Classification (NDC) Applicable Criteria offers basic policies for classification of works according to the NDC as well as an interpretation of the NDC classification system at the National Diet Library.

The National Diet Library Subject Headings (NDLSH) is a set of controlled subject vocabulary list compiled and maintained by the National Diet Library as a subject access tool. The NDLSH is used to search the National Diet Library catalog by subject heading. The NDLSH was published in book form from 1964 to 1991. Revisions of the NDLSH have been available in PDF format from the National Diet Library website since 2005.
In 2010, the National Diet Library launched Web NDLSH, a version of the NDLSH optimized for the Web. In 2011, Web NDLSH was expanded to provide name authority data and subject authority data on a single interface. The National Diet Library now offers Web NDL Authorities on its website.

NDLSH data are available on Web NDL Authorities. Web NDL Authorities also allows users to download the NDLSH in RDF/XML or TSV.
