Who May Use the Library
Visitor Qualification
Anybody eighteen years of age or older is eligible to visit and request the services of the National Diet Library (NDL).
User Registration
User registration is required to use materials in the closed stacks, and to request later date photoduplication service sent by mail. You can use the library without user registration, but available materials and services are limited. By registering, you can use the Library in more convenient ways.
