Q
Please explain about fees and payment methods for copying services.
A
Photocopy fees:
Photocopy fees vary depending on types of photoduplication service provided: same-day, later-date, or remote photoduplication services. For same-day copying services, you will pick up your copies at the NDL on the same day. For, later-date or remote photoduplication services, you will receive your copies by mail or courier service. Please see the Photoduplication Service (Photocopy Fee Chart).
Payment method:
After requesting same-day photoduplication services, please pay your fees in cash or electronic money at the counter where you requested photocopying. (Please note that the ILCL accepts cash only.) Please see "Electronic money cards that we accept". Sorry, but we do not accept credit cards.

After requesting later-date or remote photoduplication services, you will be invoiced for the photocopy fees, handling fees, and postage at actual cost. In either case, you need pay only after receiving your copies. Please make sure that the invoice matches the transfer form enclosed with the copies and pay at a bank or convenience store within 20 days of receiving the copies. Please be aware that you are responsible for any bank fees.

Q
Can I get copies expanded or reduced in size? Can I select the size of printing paper?
A
You can specify the size of paper within the scope outlined in the Photocopy Fee Chart.
The Library strives to handle a large number of copy requests promptly and fairly with limited staff resources. Therefore, it is not possible to fulfill special individual requests such as expansion (zooming) or size reduction of copies. All requests are handled uniformly. Thank you for your understanding.

Q
Do any restrictions apply when making copies?
A
Copying services are conducted on the basis of copyright law, as well as other relevant laws. (Please refer to the section on Information about Copyright.)
Also, for reasons of material conservation, restrictions may be placed on copying methods or may forbid copying entirely.
Furthermore, in order to offer this service to a large number of people, the Library limits the number of titles and number of pages copied per application, and is unable to fulfill special orders for copying methods or provision of copied materials etc.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
